Agostinho Neto University is the only Public Higher Learning Institution in Angola endowed with Legal, Pedagogical, Scientific, Administrative, and Financial status, aimed at training higher specialists in various scientific subjects, (approved on October 5th decree 60/01).
The University ensures; scientific, cultural, and technological freedom with the objective to promote; the human being; the community; and the environment. It also ensures the diversity of opinions, the participation of all its organs into the academic life; this aims to democratic methods of management by the direct election of staff that represents the different organs.
